How to Make Crepe Paper Poinsettias using Cricut
The holidays are not too far away so I thought I would create these beautiful crepe paper poinsettias using Cricut. The SVG and PDF patterns are free and simple to use. Crepe paper is super simple to cut on your Cricut and makes for very realistic looking poinsettias. The natural wrinkly texture of the poinsettia comes out in the crepe paper. I love making cree paper flowers. They really are natural looking and so beautiful to look at. If you would like another simple crepe paper flower check out my crepe paper sunflower project here.

Step 2: Cut the Petals
Cut six of each half of the large red petals and three of the small red petals and large green petals. Cut the Poinsettia centers. Choose crepe paper in the materials list and follow the prompts to cut out the petal pieces. Make sure the you change the fine point blade to the rotary cutting blade. Cut the Poinsettia center from the yellow cardstock. Switch back to the fine point bade.
Step 3: Add the Poinsettia Center
Take some pliers and fold a loop at the end of the wire. Place hot glue along the first nodule and glue it to the curved end of the wire. Glue the rest of the center to the wire by wrapping it around the wire. Fan out the center.
Step 4: Add the Small Petals
Start by adding the small red petals to separate pieces of wire by hot gluing the the long straight edge of the petals and overlapping them over the wire. You should have three small petals. Curve them slightly. Place the stems together and use floral tape to combine.
Step 5: Add the Large Petals
Next, create the large petals the same way you created the small petals. Add the large red petals to the bunch and combine them with floral tape. Then. add the green petals and combine them with floral tape.
