Make a Bear Themed Valentine's Card using Cricut

I love Teddy bears. I thought I would create a bear themed Valentine’s card using Cricut. The SVG as usual is free and easily downloadable to Cricut Design Space to print out neatly and cleanly on your Cricut or other cutting machine. This card is adorable and with a little glue comes together quickly. I hope you give it a try. If you would like an envelope for this card check out my free envelope SVG. Resize it to fit.

Step 1: Download and Upload the SVG

If you do not know how to download and upload the SVG check out this video.

Step 1: Create the Score Line

Highlight the line that is down the middle of the red card. Go to the menu at the top and change the line from basic cut to score. Once the line is changed highlight the red card and the line and head to the bottom right and click attach.

Step 2: Cut out the Pieces

Using your Cricut click make and follow the instructions to create on mat and select medium cardstock as the material. The instructions will walk you through which color paper to use for each screen. I used two different browns, a skin color, red and black to create my card. Of course you can choose any colors you like.

Step 3: Cut out the Main Body of the Card

I used red cardstock for the main body of the card. You will start with a scoring tool to create the center of the card. Aster the card is scored switch the cutting blade and cut out the card. Fold the card in half.

Step 4: Add the Black Pieces

Using the Bearly Art glue attach the black pieces to the outside of the main card piece.

Step 5: Add the Lightest Color

Add the lightest color cardstock on top of the black using the Bearly Art glue.

Step 6: Add the Lighter Brown

Glue the lighter brown pieces on top of the lightest color.

Step 7: Add the Darker Brown Pieces

Next, glue the darker brown pieces on top of the lighter brown pieces.

Step 8: Create the Hat

Create the hat using the black piece as the bottom.

Step 9: Add the Hat and the Word

Glue the hat at an angle on top off the bear’s head. Add the word LOVE to the heart in the body of the bear.

Step 10: Refold the Card

Refold the card. Write your sentiment inside and you have finished your bear themed Valentine’s card.
