How to Make a Leprechaun Hat using Cricut

I love St. Patrick’s Day and have been creating some fun St. Patrick’s day SVGs. I decided to make a leprechaun hat using Cricut that you can frame and use as home decor. This is a fun Cricut paper craft with a free SVG. I put my leprechaun hat on a background of Irish themed paper that I had on hand to make it even more fun. What you will Need: How to Make a Leprechaun Hat using Cricut

• Cricut machine
• Leprechaun Hat SVG
• A variety of green and gold solid core card stock
• Adhesive foam dots
• Glue – I use Bearly Art
• Irish themed paper for background

Step 1: Download the SVG

Click on the link and download the SVG onto your computer.

Step 2: Upload the SVG

Once you have downloaded the SVG onto your computer upload it into Design Space by clicking the upload button and following the instructions. Browse your computer for the file and upload to Design Space. Once it is in Design Space place it on the canvas.

Step 3: Click Make It

Click Make It. Choose the on Mat option. Follow the instructions to cut out the individual pieces. You will have 14 different pieces.

Step 4: Put it Together

Place the hat onto your background paper using the foam dots. Glue the hat band and buckle onto the hat. Using the foam dots place the black circle onto the circle of the hat. I cut the small foam dots in half and placed the stems of the shamrocks onto the black circle and background paper. Also using the foam dots add the gold shamrocks to the stems and the green shamrocks on top. Finally add the word lucky on top also using the foam dots.

Step 5: Frame It

Frame your masterpiece and place it in a prominent position this St. Patrick’s Day.
