What you will Need: How to Make Christmas Tree Picture Frame Decor using Cricut

Step 1: Upload and Download the SVG

If you are unaware of how to upload and download an SVG to Cricut Design Space check out this video. When the SVG is placed on the Design Space canvas you will see eight trees and the Merry Christmas Message.

Step 2: Ungroup

Highlight everything and click ungroup.

Step 3: Change the Colors

Highlight each tree and change the colors. Design space does not recognize the patterns. I used 8 different colors so that my trees would be cut from 8 different mats with different colors and patterns of vinyl.

Step 4: Regroup and Merge the Layers

Highlight each tree individually. Group the elements. Go to the bottom of the layers panel and click unite and then merge layers

Step 5: Attach

Highlight the Merry Christmas letters and click attach.

Step 6: Make

Click Make and select on Mat. You will need a 24″ Mat or use Smart Vinyl for the letters if you are using a frame as large as mine.

Step 7: Add the Vinyl

Place the vinyl on the green standard grip mat.

Step 8: Select the Material

Select the material. I chose Vinyl.

Step 9: Chose Pressure

I used default pressure. Load the fine point blade and load the mat by pushing the load button. Click Go.

Step 10: Cut the Vinyl

Cut the vinyl using your machine.

Step 10: Weed the Vinyl

Using the weeding too, weed the excess vinyl.

Step 11: Add the Transfer Tape

Place the transfer tape on each of the trees and the letters.

Step 12: Mark the Glass

I purchased a collage frame to get the size I wanted. I took out all of the insides and the glass. Use a marker that can be removed and mark the location that you want the trees and letters to go.

Step 13: Add the Elements to the Glass

Using the transfer tape place each element onto the glass in the location where you made your marks. Remove the marker.

Step 14: Replace the Glass

Using hot glue and e6000 or epoxy attach the glass to the frame. Once the glass is attached you have finished your Christmas Tree Picture Frame Decor using Cricut.
