How to use Infusible Ink Sheets on Coasters using Cricut

I bought some Cricut coasters and infusible ink sheets to make this project. I wanted to show you just how to use infusible ink sheets on coasters using Cricut. It is far simpler than you think to use these infusible ink sheets. You can use patterned sheets like I did or use more plain colors sheets and cut out a design. Either way you will love the result. You can also use infusible ink pens on these coasters as well. If you would like to learn how check out my post here.

The first thing you need to know is that you must use a compatible blank. You can get these blanks from JOANN Fabric & Craft Stores or Michaels. They are made by Cricut. This post contains affiliate links that if you click on them and make a purchase I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

What you will Need: How to use Infusible Ink Sheets on Coasters using Cricut

Step 1: Create your Design

Open Design Space. Click on shapes and select circle and create a circle that is 3.6″ in diameter. Then create three more.

Step 2: Add any Additional Design

If you want to add a saying or image to your design now is the time to do it. I did not do that on mine but I will show you how it is done. Choose an image or saying and add it to your circle or square if you are using square coasters. Highlight the image and the circle or square and click slice. Remove the two layers of letters or image and delete them.

Step 5: Insert the Fine Point Blade

Insert the fine point blade into housing B. Load the mat and click go.

Step 6: Prepare your Easy Press

Set your Easy Press for 400°F/(205°C) for 240 seconds.

Step 7: Weed the Design

Weed the design using your fingers. Do not use a weeding tool for this. I did not have to weed mine since they are just circles. I just cut squares around them.

Step 8: Prepare your Coasters

Use the lint free cloth that comes with the ink sheets to remove any lint or dust from the coasters.

Step 6: Prepare your Easy Press Mat

Place a piece a piece of cardstock onto your Easy Press mat so that there is no ink bleed onto your mat.

Step 7: Apply the Sheets

Place the design face down onto the coaster. Flip the coaster so that it is upside down and the design is on the bottom. Cover the coaster with butcher paper that comes with the infusible ink sheets. Place the Easy Press onto the stack for 240 seconds at 400°F/(205°C). When the beep sounds. Remove the Easy Press without disturbing the layers. Let cool completely.
