How to Make a Simple Gnome using Cricut

Gnomes are always popular. I decided to design this simple gnome using Cricut to make it a simple Cricut cutting project. There are six layers to this simple gnome that are attached with both adhesive foam dots and glue. This is a fun little project to make and put together just follow the step-by-step instructions. What you will Need: How to Make a Simple Gnome using Cricut

Step 1: Download the SVG

Click on the link and download the free SVG to your computer.

Step 2: Upload the SVG

Upload the SVG to Design Space using the upload button on the left menu bar and following the instructions. Browse your computer for the Gnome SVG and and click upload and then add to Canvas.

Step 3: Color Sync the Pieces

On the top right of the ayers panel you will see the phrase Color Sync. This is where you can manage the colors of your pieces. To make sure that you are using the minimum amount of colors move the dark pink pieces to be the same color if you like. I kept one of my pieces purple and matched the gloves. You can do this by dragging and dropping the pieces underneath the color that you ant it to be.

Step 4: Make it

Click Make It in the top right corner and follow the instructions to cut your pieces out of card stock. Caveat******* When it comes time to cut the flower cutout hat piece use the setting integrate card stock to get a nice cut or the paper may tear. This can be quite delicate.

Step 5: Put the Gnome Together

Lay the dark blue gnome body piece on your work surface. Take the light blue piece and put adhesive foam dots on the back and attach it to the dark blue piece. Again using the adhesive foam dots attach the white head and beard to the light blue body piece. Then, attach the brown beard piece also using the adhesive foam dots.

Step 6: Finish the Gnome

Then to finish off the simple gnome ass the light pin hat to the brown beard piece using adhesive foam dots. Using the glue add the flowery hat piece to the light pink hat. Also using glue, add the flesh colored nose. Glue he two flower pieces together and glue the flower to the end of the hat. Finally, add the hands using foam dits and you have finished your simple gnome.
