What you will Need: How to Make a Paper daisy using Cricut

Step 1: Download and Unzip the File

This file comes in a zip file with multiple items in it. Download the file onto your computer and unzip it. You will see the SVG for the daisy itself and the leaves which are separate.

Step 2: Upload the Daisy and Leaves

Using the upload button on the left menu bar of Design Space upload the Paper Daisy SVG and the Paper Daisy Leaves SVG to Design Space following the prompts. When you add the pieces to your canvas resize the leaves make them 5″ x 4 1/2″.

Step 3: Make It

Cut out the daisy, the daisy centers and the daisy leaves using your Cricut or other cutting machine. Choose on Mat who asked how to load materials. I used the blue mat for my project.

Step 4: Shape the Daisies

Using the paper sculpting mat and small ball end tool begin to shape the flowers by placing the flower on the mat and using the small ball end tool and rubbing the tool along each of the petals until they begin to curl. Once you are satisfied with the cur of the petals rotate the small ball tool in the center to sightly collapse the flower. Repeat this process for all three of the flower pieces.

Step 5: Roll the Centers

Start rolling one yellow piece and finish with a bit of hot glue then add another yellow piece and continue to roll until you have added all three yellow pieces. These will be the center of your daisy. Once you have completed rolling the centers open them up using your thumbs so that they are wider on the outside than on the inside. Again, using your thumb push the center up so that it is in a dome shape. Set aside.

Step 6: Put the Paper Daisy Together

Hot glue the center onto the center of one of the flower pieces. Glue the other two flower pieces together alternating their petals. Finally glue the flower piece with the center onto the other two flower pieces alternating the petals.

Step 7: Create the Stem

Take a 24 gauge piece of flower wire and cut it in half. Using your small pliers take one end of the floral wire and create a small loop. Fold the loop over in a 90 degree angle.

Step 8: Add the Leaves

Take one of the three pronged leaves and poke a hole in the center using an awl or small scissors. Curl under the leaves using a scraping tool or blunt scissors to create dimension. Place the bottom of the floral are through the hole in the leaves so that the loop sits on top. Glue the leaves to the floral wire.

Step 9: Glue the Flower to the Stem

Glue the flower to the stem on top of the loop and leaves. You have now created your happy Paper Daisy. Create several an put them in a vase to show them off. How fun.
