How to Design your Own Cricut Joy Insert Card -

In order to design your own Cricut Joy insert card you will have to have the free Cricut Joy App on your smart phone or tablet. This process will not work on desktop. You can import your own design into Cricut Design Space or use one of the thousands of images in Cricut Access. Add Text to he inside of your card with the App as well. It is so easy with the Cricut joy and the Cricut Joy App. So how do we go about designing our own inset cards with Cricut Joy? Here’s how. What you will Need: How to Design your Own Cricut Joy Insert Card

Step 1: Download the Cricut Joy App

Go to the App Store and download the Cricut Joy App to your smart phone or tablet.

Step 2: Open the Cricut Joy App

Open the Cricut Joy App by clicking on it on your phone or tablet. Select Custom Insert Cards.

Step 2: Start Designing Your Card

Click start Designing on the App.

Step 3: Select the Corner Slot Design

Insert Cards require an insert on the back of the front of the card. To keep the insert in place there will be four slots cut out at the corners to hold in the insert. The insert comes with the insert card pack when you buy it.

Step 4: Choose the Size and Orientation

insert cards come in three sizes. Choose the correct size for your card and the orientation that you wish to create your card, either landscape or portrait.

Step 5: Add the Front Design

Choose an SVG from your own library or one if the thousands in the Cricut Access library and place it on the front of the card.

Step 6: Write a Sentiment

The App allows you to add a sentiment on the inside of your card. Click on the inside card tab then on the text icon and with your sentiment. Once you have tied your sentiment clock back on the front of the card and and continue. Click Make It.

Step 7: Prepare your Card

Prepare your card by turning it inside out. Slide it between the plastic layer of the card mat so that the underside is not affected. Use a brayer to stick down the card.

Step 8: Click Go

Click Go and insert the mat into Cricut Joy. Notice that the inside will write first so insert a Cricut joy Pen into the housing. After the inside has been written, ten the card right sides out making sure that it is in the correct orientation with the interior writing.
