What you will Need: How to Make a Bass Wood Phone Holder using Cricut
- Cricut Bass Wood Sheets
- Cricut Maker 3
- Knife Blade
- Hot Glue
- Paint (Optional)
Step 1: Download the SVG
Purchase the phone holder SVG and download it onto your computer.
Step 2: Upload the SVG
Upload the SVG using the upload button on the left menu of Design Space. Click upload image and browse for the alphabet phone holder svg. This file is large as it includes all of the letters in multiple thicknesses. It looks like a black blob but that is ok. Click upload anyway. Highlight the black blob and add it to the canvas. Al of the letters and thicknesses will appear. Delete all the ones you do not want. I kept the 3mm D letter for my project.

Step 3: Prepare your Mat
Place your Bass Wood sheet onto the green mat on the top left corner. I used a Brayer to secure it to the mat. Take some painter’s tape and tape the edges of the wood onto the mat to further secure it.
Step 4: Make It
Click Make It in the upper right corner of Design Space. Choose on mat and confirm. Click continue. Browse all materials and choose Bass Wood. I used 1/16″ Bass Wood for my project. Load the knife blade. Load the mat and press Go. It took 14 passes to cut one of the phone holders. So be patient with this process. It takes about an hour to cut.

Step 5: Press Unload
Press to unload the mat and remove the phone holder.
Step 6: Paint the Phone Holder
If you would like you can paint the phone holder any color you would like or just cover it with polyurethane for a natural finish.
Step 7: Glue the Pieces Together
Glue the bottom holder piece to the top back piece using hot glue.
