Step 1: Download the SVG
Click on the link and download the SVG to your computer.
Step 2: Upload the SVG
Upload the SVG by clicking on the upload button on the left menu bar and following the instructions in Design Space. Add it to your canvas. Click ungroup and separate out the three layers.
Step 3: Create the Score Line
Highlight the straight line in the layers panel and change it to a score line by going to the top operation menu and clicking score. Once you have clicked score, highlight the white card and the score line and click attach.
Step 4: Make It
Click Make it and follow the instructions in Design Space to cut out the pieces except the light pink rectangle should be cut from the acetate piece. I would recommend using the blue mat for the card stock and the green mat for the acetate.
Step 5: Add the Acetate
Using your double sided tape add the acetate to the backside of the front of the card around the edges. Also, don’t forget to add the I on birthday using some glue tape or dots. If your acetate has a plastic film on it make sure to remove that first. Place the acetate sheet on top of the tape.
Step 6: Add the Foam Adhesive Strips
Place double sided foam adhesive strips to the outside edges of the card. Cut down the strips using scissors or a rotary cutter if needed. Do not remove the top tape yet.
Step 7: Add the Chunky Glitter or Sequins
I added these cute flower shaped chunky glitter to my project but you can add whatever you like.
Step 8: Add the Card
Fold the card at the score line. Remove the tape from the adhesive foam strips and carefully place the card onto the adhesive foam taking care that you are placing it in the right direction. You have now finished your birthday shaker card using Cricut
