How to make a Layered Butterfly using Cricut

I love these layered butterflies. They are so easy to make using the free svg that comes with this project. If you have ever wanted to know how to make a layered butterfly using Cricut this is the tutorial for you. I have created a free svg that you can download just for this project. You can resize this butterfly to any size that you want and make it any color that you want. It is so simple. Just follow these steps. What You will need: How to Make a Layered Butterfly using Cricut

• Free SVG you can get by clicking on this Link
• Cricut machine or similar cutting machine
• Two Different Colors of Card Stock
• Cricut Scoring Stylus
• Glue – I use Bearly Art

Step 1: Download the SVG

The first thing you need to do is download the SVG file t your computer. The best thing to do is to have a folder job your computer for all of your SVGs.

Step 2: Upload the SVG

Open Design Space. Click upload on the left menu panel. Select browse and choose the Butterfly SVG. Click open then upload. Highlight the butterfly and click add to canvas.

Step 3: Change the Colors

You can change the colors of the project by highlighting each layer and changing the color in the top color square.

Step 4: Make It

Once you have decided on the colors, click Make It in the upper right corner. Follow the instructions on design space to cut out your project.

Step 5: Score the Top layer

Take your scoring stylus and score the center of the body of the top layer. Fold the top layer slightly on the score line to show flight of the butterfly.

Step 6: Glue the Top Layer

Glue just the body of the to top layer to the bottom layer and you have finished your layered butterfly using Cricut.
