What you will Need: How to Make a Bobblehead Card
- SVG you can get by clicking on this link
- Cricut machine or other cutting machine
- Various colors of Cardstock — I use 12 x 12 Cardstock shop products
- Action Wobble Springs
- Cricut Pens
- Cricut Scoring Wheel or scoring stylus
- Craft glue — I use Bearly Art
Step 1: Download and Upload the SVG
You will need to download and upload the SVG or use your own SVG or a photograph. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this follow this tutorial.
Step 2: Add the Score Line
Highlight everything and select ungroup from the layers panel. Highlight the center line and go to the operations menu and change it from a cut line to a score line. Then highlight the scoreline and the card itself go to the bottom of the layers panel and click attach.
Step 3: Add the Draw Lines
Highlight all of the letters and go the operations menu and change the operation from cut to pen. once you have done that. Highlight the letters and the card itself and click attach in the lower layers panel.
Step 4: Make It
Choose Make it and follow the instructions in Design Space to score, write and cut the pieces for the card. For some reason my green layer comes out clear but it will cut out green so don’t worry about it it just looks kind of weird.
Step 5: Create the Santa Head
Take the tan colored piece and use it as the base for your layers. Using your art glue begin adding the layers to the base. I started with the large pieces first to get the hat and whiskers on. From there I added the small pieces to create the face. Once the Santa head is finished it is time to add it to the card.
Step 6: Add the Action Wobble Spring
Remove the backing on the top and bottom of one of the wobble springs and place it in the center of the card. Place the Santa head on top of the wobble spring and press well. You have now finished your bobblehead card.
