How to Make a Side Edge Card using Cricut Design Space

I just love these side edge cards. They look difficult to make but really they are pretty simple to do.

Cricut Design Space makes them super easy and I am here to walk you step by step through just how easy it is to make your own side edge card using any design you want.

MATERIALS NEEDED

– Cricut Machine – Cricut Design Space – Image

STEP 1

Choose your Image Open Cricut Design Space and upload the image or images that you would like to use as the edge of your card.

STEP 2

Add the Offset Select the entire image and add an offset by clicking on the offset button. Change the offset size to 0.125.

STEP 3

Create a 5″ x 5″ Card Go to the shapes menu and choose the square shape and create a square hat measures 5″ x 5″. Change the color to gray or another light color to make it easy to work with.

STEP 4

Move the larger Offset Layer Highlight the larger of the two offset layers and move it to the right side of the card.

STEP 5

Select Slice Highlight both the card layer and the offset layer. Go to the bottom of the layers panel and click slice to slice the offset layer fro the card layer.
